Day 1
The Beginning
Ice-breaking Session: Post the welcome lunch, we indulge in a sensory experience and connect with the group through fun activities. Stream Walk & self-reflection: We would drive to a small stream for a walk, joyful time for your inner child to explore gleefully. This is the time to just surrender as birds and butterflied visit us at the stream joyfully playing in the water. Gratitude Journaling & Experience Circle: Cultivate a mindset of gratitude with guided journaling sessions. Set intentions, affirm positivity, and reflect on your slow-living goals. Offline with Nature: The sweet joy of doing nothing or simply enjoying your favourite hobby in company of nature is an ultimate form of digital detox that helps you detach from the distractions, focuses on the present
Day 3
Be a Wild Child
Yoga & Breathwork sessions: We start the day with guided yoga for mindfulness combined with Pranayam. Forest Bathing: Join on a session with forest spirits that consider you as nature and not a just a part of it. Experience the healing power of nature, connect with your roots, the way every natural elements connect and heal one-another. Shinrin-Yoku is the Japanese method of forest bathing that helps with relieving stress and anxiety. Art Picnic by the Lake: The Slow Life Retreat would be incomplete without its signature art picnic! Bring out your creative spirit and indulge in this enchanting art of painting by the lake, a picnic set-up to soak in the beauty of slow living. Postcard & Letter Writing: Play with the colours of nature to create an alluring art on a postcard and write an inspiring letter to your future self. A Hygge Evening to Remember: What could be a better hygge experience than a bonfire on a chilly Coorg night. Groove on to classic music, share the stories and laughter forging new friendships.
Day 2
Coffee & Creativity
Surya Namaskar & Breathwork session by the lake: Align yourself to the energies and elements of nature through guided Surya Namskar and meditation session alongside a beautiful lake. The World of Coffee: Our expereinced host in Coorg who have been into coffee plantation since decades would take you on a guided coffee plantation tour. Later, we explore the different coffee brewing techniques followed by a coffee tasting session. Creative Indulgence : Let the earthy pigments of coffee become your art medium for the day. You’ll get to create your own beautiful bookmark with coffee painting techniques. Pottery Session: Working with clay offers a meditative, tactile experience that brings you back to the basics: earth, water, touch, and creation. Whether you’re sculpting a small bowl or simply playing with form, this workshop encourages creativity without pressure. Meditation & Pranayama: We practice a relaxing breathwork session before sleep.
Day 4
Renew & Rejuvenate
Closing Ceremony: After breakfast, we gather for hugs, pictures and sharing our retreat experiences. You’ll also get to shop estate coffee, spices and more in a way supporting the local people .

Your Nature Stay
Nestled within 70 acres of vibrant green coffee plantations, our Kodava heritage homestay offers a unique experience. The property features a private lake and ancient trees, evoking the charm of a bygone Kodagu era.

Meet Your Facilitator
Purvi is a certified Naad Yoga therapist, therapeutic art facilitator, and zen pottery practitioner with over 14 years of experience in Reiki. A Psychology Honours graduate trained in alternative therapies, including sylvotheray, she completed her studies at leading institutes across Rishikesh, Mysore, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. Her approach is deeply rooted in mindfulness, expressed through the transformative power of sound, energy, art, breath, and movement.

Don'ts of the Retreat
Any consumption of alcohol, drugs or any abusive substance is strictly prohibited.
Roaming around or outside the property premises especially at night is prohibited
The retreat is open for the age group of 18+
How to Reach?
Option 1:From Bengaluru Airport, the best way to travel to Madikeri is an overnight Fly Bus that can be boarded directly from airport. Then take a cab to the property.
Option 2: You can take an overnight sleeper bus from Bengaluru (other particiapnts would be taking the same) to Madikeri. Then take a cab to the property with other participants.
Option 3: Drive down to the property in your own vehicle

At The Slow Life, we believe, we are not just a part of nature but we are nature. And thus, we ensure we leave no carbon footprint behind as a thank you to the forest, animals and locals thriving at our retreat locarions.

We recycle every plastic wrapper including your canvas covers, protein bars or snack wrappers. Everything is collected and recycled at Jagruth Tech, Mysuru. Ensure to handover all recyclable things to the facilitators and leave nothing behind in the dustbin.

Throwing trash, including cigarette buds isn't appreciated.

A lot of you love taking plant cuttings with you as a memory but ensure to pluck no flowers, fruits or plants without permission or reasonable intention.

We do not encourage our associated properties to offer use-and-throw bathroom essentials and appreciate all participants for carrying their own personal toiletries and skincare that they choose after detailed research.

Refill & Hydrate : It is mandatory to carry your refillable bottle to reduce single use plastic. We do not offer single use plastic bottles during our retreats. Refilling facilities are available.

No animals must be harmed or teased for fun. We respect and maintain silence in and around the property post-sunset. We must not disrupt any nocturnal activities during our presence in their territory.

Ethical Community Engagement: Interactions with local villagers and native environment must ensure deep respect, privacy, cultural appreciation, and zero economic or social exploitation of local communities. Always ask before taking pictures/let our facilitators lead as we take prior permission.

You can carry pencils, crayons and chalk sticks if you have the habit of giving little something to village kids.

Shopping etiquettes: We all end up shopping something local while travelling, carry an extra bag for your shopping, value the efforts while buying agricultural and artisanal products. Extreme bargaining is disrespectful.
